On the eve of her wedding, Amina sleepwalks into the bedroom of another man. Upon discovering her mistaken infidelity, her fiancé Elvino cancels their wedding before Amina’s innocence is revealed in a joyous happy ending.
Pratt (Amina) is reunited with Colombian tenor Carlos E. Bárcenas (Elvino) following their acclaimed performance in Victorian Opera’s production of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor. National treasure Greta Bradman makes her company debut as the meddling innkeeper, Lisa, and in his first Australian appearance, grand Italian basso cantante Paolo Pecchioli joins the cast as ‘the other man’, Count Rodolfo.
Following Victorian Opera’s sublime concert stagings of Bellini’s Norma and i Puritani, audiences can now delight in the composer’s 1831 triumph La Sonnambula.

“★★★★★ Jessica Pratt could bring the house down in her sleep.”
“Future bel canto presentations from Victorian Opera are highly recommended, especially if we are lucky enough to have Pratt back in Australia again.”
“Victorian Opera's annual concert opera presentations have become a highlight of Melbourne's opera scene. After La Sonnambula was over, I was shaking with excitement, my pulse certainly racing.”
