A magical musical fairytale

WORLD PREMIERE

The birth of Princess Aurora is being celebrated in the magical mountain kingdom of Valeriana.

An uninvited evil fairy places a terrible curse on the young child. On her 16th birthday the princess will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and sleep for a hundred years. Sound like a traditional story? Not if Ticketty-Boo the Fairy Godmother, Darcy the Jester and the Jollys have anything to say about it!

From the wit and imagination of Richard Gill and the team that brought you Cinderella comes a brand new pantomime that is 60 minutes of pure colour, comedy, song and dance. After a sell-out season in 2012, Victorian Opera invites young and young at heart to shout out, clap and sing along, and discover the magic of musical storytelling.

Composer Richard Gill
