The Grumpiest Boy in the World

Merlyn, The Coopers Malthouse
2 Oct 2015 - 4 Oct 2015

A new Australian opera for children about the adventures of a grumpy seven-year old boy featuring the Victorian Youth Opera.

For our 10th birthday season, we bring to life The Grumpiest Boy in the World, an enchanting tale about a grumpy seven-year old. Fed up with being normal, Zachary Briddling travels to places where there are giants and hairy creatures, and learns that anyone can stand out, no matter how ordinary they believe they are. As part of our annual Youth Opera program, discover a brand new Australian opera for children about The Grumpiest Boy in the World. Performed by aspiring young singers aged 13-25 from around Victoria, it is one of the unique ways we connect our community with the marvellous world of opera.
